Well pointed… but wasn’t the Salang pass one of the deadliest roads in History, I swear its haunted by hundreds of dead soldiers from the Soviet era and later wars… that place just gives you the creeps… I’d rather risk Khyber than the Salang route and especially avoid the Salang tunnel if possible… if the fumes dont kill you anything from the rock slides to ambushes will.
