One of my khalas once caught a woman in Karachi stealing from her purse and tackled her and held her until the police arrived. My mamu went to the police station to give my khala support and witnessed the police interrogation.

The following took place while the thief woman was handcuffed within earshot, after the police had come back from her residence and had found more items there that they suspect were stolen. Translation is approximate

Officer 1:
“Sir, she won’t admit to it, what can we do? We can’t hit her, she’s a woman!”

Officer 2:
“Don’t you know how to make a woman talk? Tie her shalwaar legs at the bottom, and drop a kitten into her shalwaar.”

The woman immediately confessed.
