Feel free to offload anything chopping your mind.. from the raging slap in Oscars to jitters in Pakistani govt or to the mother nature’s swing of moods
O yea, to GS outage as well..
We are all years, oh i meant ears
I would have added “discuss” but noted some people dont like it. But see we are actually all eyes n earz
The slap at the Oscar’s was well-deserved. It was an insensitive dig at not just Jada Pinkett, but all alopecia sufferers out there. Alopecia/baldness is hard for both genders, but society is more accepting of bald men because men can still make bald look sexy. Women that are bald have not received much societal acceptance and that only adds to the pain. So, Rock, had it coming. The downside of slapping is that it tends to garner sympathy for the slapped person. A verbal putting-in-place would leave Rock without sympathy and would have been better. But honestly, I don’t feel bad for Chris Rock.
As for other thoughts on my mind...
Today I was thinking about the people in my life that I’ve let go. There are many good things about Desi people, but I’ve noticed something: No matter how politely you refuse a favor or request, it’s met with anger. It’s like they think they’re entitled to it. And I know that people of other races can act this way, too. But in my experience the “others” usually respond with more grace when you decline, usually with an "it's okay" minus the drama.
I didn't even knew Oscar ceremony was going on, until I started seeing news about the slap. The only people I knew in the various clips circulating were Will Smith and Penelope Cruz. It took me a day to actually get all the references in the joke the presenter made. Later on I stumbled upon an old clip in which Will Smith was himself joking much more directly about the head of a bald man. My views stayed the same as they were right after seeing the presenter getting slapped.
Will Smith misused his socio-economic status to slap that presenter. Misusing socio-economic status to get away with worst behaviors is getting all too common. None of his apologies matter, nor are genuine. I felt as if I got slapped. I was able to relate to Chris Rock in so many ways. Nothing can compensate for what happened that night. It just shows moral decadence of the organizers as well as those in attendance. They should have at least walked out after realizing no prompt action was being taken against Will Smith.

Oh no.. I think the slap was a overreaction at this stage and the violent one ofcourse. I mean could have shouted the way he did later after the slap saying keep my wife out .. whateva
Also, thats how comedians are. I mean they pick on almost everyone and are notoriously insensitive.
About the later part, hmmm.. The question is, do you feel better after letting them go, and if you are then why bother even think about them afterwards?
Oh and desi or non-desi, does it ever end without a drama?!
That was my point precisely that why did comedians not be insensitive?! They always pick on vulnerable and people laugh it off and move on.
Now the downside of this whole thing was that those who actually won Oscars this year got totally unnoticed. How unjustified! Its supposed to be a big deal but WS stole the thunder

I disagree. It wasn’t a jab at her alopecia. They know that they will be roasted at these events, so if you can’t handle it, stay home. The Smiths are just disturbed, attention-seekers; all of them.
Allah swt hamari saari ibadaat qubool farmayein, Ameen.
And those of you who are eating secretly, baaz aa jao.

Aameen.. its so far so good. Two rozas went by quickly. Honestly i would rather stay busy and let them go fast then wait and “feel” it more. Hey, we need some memes on the topic
Worst thing is to see the iftar/sehri food pics on social media while fasting
I am feeling really sad right now. I haven't been keeping up with Pakistani politics and today all of a sudden I saw that IK is no longer PM? Words can not express the utter disgust I feel toward the greedy and ugly shaitans who made this happen.
Well its aa nice new day in Pakistan; The evil has exited, so all good. Lovely Rozay here, recently relocated to North East USA and enjoying the diversity here. All in all very happy
