Cold weather is not that bad
Inside…
Warm waves of compassion
Petrified with some anger
Despite of the all the affirmations
In spite of all that has been heard or said
Seen or believed
Thought up and ignored…
But you had to leave
Not sure of when you would return
Likely it is,
You never came by
Good distance to keep
Safe messages to relay
Just like that, one would untie
The tie which was not made a knot yet
Then, & now its too straight and long a while
To be recalled again
To be tied at once
In that case,
It would have been warm inside
For you
It’s been over
It’s been long done
Decided about and self-evident
It never occured to you,
your kids will ask for you
Kids do ask for you
& they hear silence quiet loudly, dear.
You did not care to know
but how could you care to know
Too busy not knowing or choosing not to know
Your home would have been welcoming to you
But you never stepped in
So, you go & please stay out
It is roomier there for you
It is brighter there for you
It will be lonelier here for you
Now, it will be so lonesome here for you
