From quite few days I was thinking to open a thread where we can read the Quran and try to understand it. Here what I’ll do:
I will quote after every 24 hours, english translation of one verse only, without it explanation (Tafseer), and by reading it, we’ll try to understand that verse with the help of each others. Example:
**“This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah”
**
In this verse, We’ll see what is mentioned and try to write down it (as POV) in the same thread. Like after reading this verse, I picked;
1- ‘Book’
2- ‘guidance’
3- ‘doubt’
4- ‘Those who fear Allah’
So we discuss with each others about the above POV. Like which Book? What kind of guidance? What kind of doubt? Who are those who fear Allah?
Purpose of this thread is to deeply examine (read) the verses and try to understand it in better way.
**I’ll leave this thread open as a feed-back from you guyz whether you would like to me to start this thread or not.
Recently I learnt something interesting about the word "Raib". The translations of this word suh as "doubt" do not do justice to the implied understanding of this word.
This is a very noble idea. We can definitely look forward to it.
Very nice. I'd request that we all should keep referring back to the tasfeers and scholars (even by phone) in our area so that our interpretation (of any word) can be cross checked by the experts, in order to know/understand it's true context in the light of the authentic sources and Imaams (who sacrificed everything for understanding Quran)
May Almighty Allah accepts our efforts for learning Quran and also grant us the ability to understand it. Ameen.
The arabic text will be added plus roman arabic and english translation too.
we read Holy Quran daily , but before I open this thread I would like to share what is actually in my mind.
In this thread we’ll try to understand each and every single verse in the sense that we all are gathering at one ‘Assembly Point’ and that is the main purpose of this thread to create ‘unity’ among us and NOT repeated NOT to create differences, nor pointing on each other that the tafseer of this or that ‘Ulema’, ‘Scholar’ etc., is more authentic or more suitable. What I’m trying to do is just starting it from very very basic level (nersery) that we read and try to understand the arabic as well as its meanings.
For Example: In my first post, I picked word 'Kitab [book]’ and placed a question ‘which book’? To answer this question I think we don’t required tafsir, details etc., because we are trying to understand the words and here we’ll examine the complete verse or previous verse or next verse related to it to understand the question as well as its answer. Like we’ll examine the arabic word 'Thalika’ means ‘This’ so when we read/examine/compare “Thalika alkitabu” it will be ‘This book’ which we are reading, have no doubt.
I liked the idea of SOP and if possible we all must do as he told. The most important point is that there must be **‘Unity’ **among us. This is not an ordinary book so I request from the all participants that if any of us disagree with anyone at any point than please please please inform me via pm. DON’T be divided.
Also, if any of us would like to discuss/share about any incident related to any verse or chapter, plz pm me so we can open separate thread.
AA dear all, a very nice idea. It is very important to understand words used in the quran and the hadith and then to see their context within a verse and if need be within the surah and within the quran .
Hope we all behave in civilised way during our discussions having the purpose of learning from each other.
