What have you heard from girls/women when you have said to them you are so pretty/beautiful.

I usually either give a short smile and look away, say thank you, or simply ignore - it all depends on who commented.

If someone goes out of their way to pay a compliment, you should either return it or at least say thank you.

Many guys do not say to women just because it may not be appropriate in certain settings. They do admire in their heart though. (Women do the same)

P.S. If a woman says you look good/handsome or nice. Do not give complement to her in return. She will think you don't mean it just returning the complement. Do that later....

Usually guys feel very free to pass comments on them. Don't they??
So my friend women are not any different once the feel comfortable they can say pretty wild stuff. Trust me!!
