YorkU students around?

Any YorkU students around? There’s a possibility that I may look into attending its BAS (Accounting) program; however, I’m not sure yet.

If there are any YorkU students around, what program are you in and how is it like at YorkU?

Salam,

I'm in YorkU, anddd I'm doing the BAS accounting major. In my first year...but by next month i shud start second year inshAllah.

The Program is pretty neat, and the university itself is very nice!

It doesn't feel like some dead university, its pretty much alive, theres always something going on. ITs big, I believe the biggest in Land mass. There are lots of facilities, York Lanes has all the shopping thingymajiggies, and restuarants, many many libraries, scott being the biggest.

YorkU is also very very very diverse.

Mostly Asians.

Well I wish I could have gotten into whatever i wanted but I am a desi aulaad of desi parents…so I have to take Accounting. Since its a lil interesting, boring..but lots of $$$ if you work hard enough.

InshAllah CA is my goal, lets see what happens.

I wanted to be an astronaut tho

As for myself, I haven't decided if I'd be attending York. I'm sort of double minded at the moment.

I applied to Ryerson and UofT. Got in everywhere, but I always wanted to go to York. Alhumdulillah im here :)

Love York!...Love the crowd...had the bessssssssst time there.....

^ Interesting. What was your major in BAS?

Crescent_, I'm almost done my Business Admin Diploma. I'm looking to transfer to either York, UofT, or Ryerson. However, haven't made up my mind yet. If I attend York, I'd probably end up in the same program.

I suggest you do that. Atkinson has a reallly comprehesive BAS honours in accounting program.

Khumar is also in york.

BAS is good!... I did the general management courses...and now I work with a Marketing firm.....

Psych...I just enjoy it!...

You guys familiar with anyone in BAS (IT Management)? Any ideas how good/bad the program may be?

Hi, I am currently at York as well..doing BAS General Management option!
York is a pretty cool university, and the program itself is not bad at all!
