2. In 36 test matches younis has scored 2616 at an average of 43.6 which is usually suppose to be a healthy average in cricket (I don’t remember what is suppose to be a good average when you play with a tennis ball in your garage or in your baramda, please tell me probably your average will be higher than younis)

I still think he is a weight on team speacially in odi's, kick him out and bring Imran Nazir in.

^ Younis is not as bad, he is average/mediocre in ODI, I agree, but is fine in Tests. Now being made a VC, I don't think our cricket structure is ready to discard a Test VC from ODI playing XI .... has any team done that?

Shabash now do some work, tell me how many match winning innings imran nazir has played in the last 6 years when you compare him with younis. While doing that make sure you check how many times he failed by playing stupid shots.
The guy definitely has ability to clear the field but what good it is when he has an average of 23.59 while playing as an opener. Mind you his recent average in last 2-3 years would be even less than his overall average of 23.59.
Aab tu apnay nanhay dimagh say sochay ga kay why do we bother about the recent avearge or performance? Aabay recent average ya performance nahin dekhay ga tu kal ko tu bolay ga kay younis nay miandad ka haq mar lya, miandad ko team mein kyon nahin khilatay.

Why dont YOU tell us how many matches Nazir has won us, you asked for Younis’ knocks (by the way last two knocks in that list were also in winning causes), we provided it. Rather than basing your opinion on personal likes and dislikes, why dont you base them on facts for once?

As a captain one should at least be responsible.. he was trying miserably to hook at a diffucult stage of game a delivery out side the off stump!! (he has never been able to hook a ball from a middle or leg stump in his life) and running out in test match is a crime..

OK so now we are talking only about ODI and not test matches. Aab mein kya bolon tum ko, saby bhai sirf aap kee waja say bardasht kar rha hoon.
Caliboy when you started this thread of yours, you were only discussing and criticizing his performance in the first test and then his persence in the test squad. Later you said

I guess by looking at the statistics you realized that there is no way you can compare these two players in test matches. And talking about statistics, i am now100% sure that this was your first ever experience of finding any players statistics, which further proves that you give statements on the basis of your personal likings and dislikings and not facts. Previosuly you provided some wierd statistics for younis ODI career and now imran nazir’s.

1. Imran nazir has never scored 46 runs against srilanka, i guess you were trying to refer to a match played in kenya in ICC knock out tournament in 2000. Imran nazir scored 40 of 47 balls when Pakistan was chasing a mediocre target of 195. In that very inning the other opener along with imran nazir was saeed anwar who scored 105 not out. Now plz enlighten us which one was a match winning knock.

2. Yes nazir scored 105 against zimbabwe in that 3 nation cup in WI. Every team played 2 matches against each other before the best of 3 finals. That was the 4th and last match of a miserable side who lost all there matches before that and lost the final one as well in which imran nazir scored 105. By the way imran nazir played all the 7 matches in that tournament. Do you want to know his scores in other matches. his other scores were 0, 4,6,9,12,22

3. Yes he scored 80, but you forgot to mention against which side or probably you didn’t want to mention it. Well it was bangladesh and pakistan scored 320 runs in that innings.

4. Yes his 66 and 69 were only 2 innings which helped pakistan in winning those matches.
   So basically you are trying to say that pakistan should include him in the team not because of his test records (because it sucks) but because of only two good innings in ODI which he has played in his 6 year long illustrious career.

Both Nazir and Younis are good but they are different types of batsman, one opens and one solidifies the score in the middle order .. what’s so hard to understand about this?

I don’t know why most of the people at Gupshup want Younis as captian. Inzi is the best choice and he should lead the team in the next WC. About Younis energy it is good but that can’t match the WC experience Inzi brings to the table. If Inzi wants to lead as a captain he should be allowed to.

Inzi sud be dropped as soon as we find a replacement for his batting position…

By the way Yonis was not under pressure due to the presence of Inzi who steadied the innings.........
