yogurt lumps in the salan(urgent help)

dont know where i went wrong…but as far as i can figure out i poured yogurt at once which resulted in forming lumps in the salan…how can i fix it?..urgent help required guppans

Wisk the curry or stir it frequently till you get rid of the lumps of blend the masala.

Leave the yogurt out for a bit at room temperature, If I am making quorma, I take the yogurt out at least 30 mins before to prevent the lumps forming in the curry, also like Lusi said whip it really well before pouring it in

^^^ she’s already put the yoghurt in so can’t leave it at room temperature!!

in an emergency I’d take the shorba out and whizz it in the blender, then mix it back with the boti’s or whatever you’re cooking (or use a hand blender and concentrate on the yoghurt lumps)

I actually did that when my salan came out kharra for a dawat - it’s a bit messy but it works. Just make sure the salan is not bubbling hot cus it might ruin your blender

^^^ she’s already put the yoghurt in so can’t leave it at room temperature!!

Thanks everyone for the help…i was stupid enough not to blend yogurt before pouring in…anyway like everyone suggested i hand blended the curry to make it smooth …and it worked…thanks buddies

Next time, whisk the yogurt with some oil before adding to curry. Also, dont add yogurt while your pot is on direct heat. Transfer the pot to a cold burner on the stove and add yogurt. It won’t form lumps

i heard that greek yogurt does not form lumps in curry.. is that true?

^ I eat Greek yoghurt it is so smooth and creamy, never found lumps in it.
