i know this topic has been discussed many times but i just wanted to know some very specific information about hijab beacuse a friend ask me this and i couldnt answer it beacuse i dont have that much knowledge unfortunatly

Is it stated in the Quran that if you dont ware hijab its punished? if yes where?

The Quran states that if you donot listen to Allah and follow his path you get punished.

The Quran states that women should cover themselves.

To get a idea of dress code and other instructions for ladies in Islam, you can read (translation of )Sura Noor and sura Nisa. It will help a great deal.

Also knowledgeable muslim girl can help you better

But just i would like to clear a common confusion…

Hijab is a name of arabic dress, also it is termed as Islamic dress code. So many Muslim and all non-muslim think that hijab( the piece of cloth ) is required by Islam for faithful women to wear.

Hijab( the piece of garment) can be a part of Islamic dress code and but it is NOT prescribed as the only option for ladies. Women can follow the dress guideline by wearing a number of different cloths according to their culture and tradition. For instance Chadar, Burka, Abaya etc.
