Recently someone said in a thread that if you kill a Chipkali,your cooked food will be tasteless, hath se zaiqa nikal jata hai.

I have killed couple of chipkalis,and Allhumdulilah the food I cook is tasty.

Do you believe in such things? Have you hear stories like this?

And what about moon or solar eclipse superstitions? Those are interesting too, my mum didn't let my pregnant sister out of her room and she wasn't allowed to touch anything sharp, like needle, scissors or knife during the eclipse. She said that the child can be born with something slightly cut off, like a finger, nose or top of ear..

I heard that Maghrib ke baad ghar main jhaaRoo nahin lagana.. iss se barkat chali jati hai.

Also maghrib ke baad ghar se namak ya koi aur cheez nikal ke kisi ko nahin deni… same barkat issue

One peculiar saying was famous in our Naneehaal : Raat ko chane (BughRa’ khane se khane wala ka baap qarz main mubtala ho jata hai

The First one was famous centuries ago, because there was no electricity so one might throw something important with garbage that's why they used to say raat ko jharoo dene se barkat chali jati hai.

And I never heard this bughrey wali misaal before.

no but had tea after having fish....though mom was quite angry at me:D

Any one heard that mixing equal amount of ghee and honey will result in a poison...:D

lot of hindu people do not go to barber's shop on saturday so used to visit barber's shop on saturday:D
