Yeh Baraf...

well my friends, every now and then a thread on this topic is started by someone or the other with similar passion for the armed forces of Pakistan, military history and literature and Shoaib Mansoor.

The problem is, this guru Shoaib Mansoor has put all of us soldiering fans into state of misery by making us addicted to brilliant productions like ‘Sunehrey Din’ ‘Alpha Bravo Charlie’, the ‘Ishq’ songs and then hinting that he’s on to making a full lenght movie about the Pakistan army and the warfare on the world’s highest battlefields above Kashmir. the title of the movie has been said to be ‘Ye baraf humari hai’. now it’s been yrs and yrs and we the die hard fans of our forces and Mr. Mansoor have been dying for some news but there just isnt any! on top of that Shoaib Mansoor literally hides from limelight.
the reason i bring this up all over again is that our Indian brethren have been making blockbuster militart movies glorifying their forces for a long time. the first of modrn times was ‘Border’, which with an unbiased view was a great movie with great music. then there have been a few that have followed. this year there was ‘LOC Kargil’, which i havent seen yet, ‘Lakshya’ which wasnt that big a thing and now on the line ‘Ab Tumhare huwale watan sathiyo’, which i’m sure is going to be a definite blck buster with the huge cast that it has, and from the music and previews i can see it’s going to be a big thing. the preview showing a scene with Akshay Kumar surrendering with a smoke in mouth is a piece of great acting and direction…ppl who know military literature would know what i’m talking about…
so the thing is, we here in Pakistan just urgently need to make similarstuff portraying our military too! and its general knowledge that no one, and seriously no one but Shoaib Mansoor can do it and he is the only one who can be trusted with the task! it has to be done! and it has to be done soon!
what do you guys say?
does any one know Shoaib Mansoor? I really want to see him and convince him into doing this stuff quick and of course I’d love to be a part of it too!
I’m sure i could be a real asset to a producer producing a film on this subject!
something has to be done my fellow Pakistanis and guppies!!!

:rotfl:

Yeh Baraf Hamari HAE!!!

INDEED

what a great idea Harriss!!! :k:

i can already see it all… !!!

the title song will be a copy of “ye watan hamara hae”

and reema and shaan will be in the lead..

Liaqauat Hussain can play a modern molvi in the movie maybe the president of MMA?

Sohail Warraich can play the prime minister of pakistan and he will give a speech to the nation "Ye baraf hamari hae india ki nai hae…lekin hum is pe jang kar rahay haen “ye to tazad hae”

waise if the movie is shot in siachen then how r we going to do the typical tree and jungle son and dance sequences ?? :konfused: we’ll have to come with some ideas about this one

:rotato:

i need some baraf to chill my pepsi :D

As far as i know he is working on this project which is also a movie but not based not army.

Yaar Irem we are talking about Shoaib Mansoor here. What ever he has done so far in Pakistan has been top quality. YOu can be assured that if he comes out with this movie you will not see the dancing around tree scenes.
But i have been looking forward to this movie also. I think for some reason he got side tracked to Khuda Kay Liye, which seems like a nice project too.
But what ever the reason for the delay, i hope he overcomes it and finishes it soon.
And yes Yeh baraf definitely hamari hai :D

:hehe: Irem,
nice scenario, using the stars of the day to play the leads! amir liaquat could be the lead, cause shaan and reema have just become too unbearable! sohail warraich could be jamali with a beard!
and not to worry about the park and tree song scenes, with superior technology that the typical film producers use in pakistan they’ll shoot them in the punjab plateau and later mix them into the rest of the film shot in glaciers and voila! they’d think no one will notice! :rotfl:

but seriously speaking yaar, this project has to be done by Shoaib Mansoor soon, and if he does it, i’m sure it will be good enough to compete at int’l level. it’ll be a block buster if i play the leading lietenant!

Yarro,
thanks a lot for the link to ‘khuda ke liye’
i had no idea he was working on this! :k:

proudpakistani,
definitely! i jst hope he gets done with ‘khuda ke liye’ soon and gets back to that!

and khuda ke liye sounds like a good story too!

fatalist, to chill ur pepsi with this baraf you’ll have to seek permission from the army HQs in both Pakistan and India, better drink it warm
