I thught we’d be lucky enough to not listen to Najam Sheeraz’s tribute version of Vital Signs’ “Ye Shaam” after the VS Tribute function on 23 March on Indus Vision. But apparently he (wrongly) thought too highly of it and has released a video! 
Now I really like Najam Sheeraz and most of his songs, i feel he’s got great talent and does his high-pitch songs great. I even like all his ‘message’ songs. But! How could any VS/JJ fan bear the blatant strangulation of this delicate song the way Najam did…?
He’s getting all the notes wrong. It’s painful. 
Junaid Jamshed has been on record saying that he himself was able to record the song with Shoaib Mansoor after 15-16 tries.
Plus remember the old video at the Rohtas fort in Mughal theme…? Najam could have atleast spent bucks on a modern & interesting visual. But no that didnt happen either…
I need to listen to the original VS version asap to correct the kaanon ka mazaa!!!
