Re: ye kia baat hui

haan ji yeh bhalla kya baat hui

^-- you mean you cant see this?

Re: ye kia baat hui

nope i see this little box as if the Quote was empty. Dunno how to attach images else i'd show you

Re: ye kia baat hui

figure out how to put up pics

Re: ye kia baat hui

you see some javascript error on the page?

could be some issue with your browser, try other browser and also set the IE security settings to default level.

Re: ye kia baat hui

i do see a javascript error. i have ie7 installed, could that be a factor. firefox is completely screwing up the webpage, could it be a virus :/

Re: ye kia baat hui

the error i get is

Line: 2967
Char: 1
Error: Object expected
Code:0

Re: ye kia baat hui

and it seems to happen only when someone is using the quote button (or with quote=XYZ). When theres only quoted text I can see it.
I can see this quote
Re: ye kia baat hui

too high security settings of your IE.
probably due to some 3rd party add-ons or plugins you have installed.

(maybe try removing all extra toolbars, etc)

play with the settings. Normally it should dispaly GS pages properly, I have tested myself, on updated XP systems and fresh Vista installed PC's.

Re: ye kia baat hui

i put everything on default settings.... and i only have google toolbar installed. firefox isnt working either, i dont know if thats related.

anyway, thanks for the help

Re: ye kia baat hui

i dont think Opera will work in this case, when the other 2 fail.

try to empty all TEMP folders from safe mode
- run Hijackthis and see if anything suspicious.

Waisay, I think this thread should be moved comp section :P

Re: ye kia baat hui

I really don't understand the need for Google Toolbar with IE7. You can change the search criterea in IE7 to use Google and that's it. I hate all 4rd party toolbars with a passion.

Re: ye kia baat hui

Actually check and see if you have some Antivirus or antispyware software that's stripping stuff off of the sites. If its happening with both IE and FF then it has to be one of those.

Re: ye kia baat hui

tofi disabled antivirus, doesnt make a diff. firefox is screwing up differently, dunno what it could be, except for that my computer needs a restart :D

anyway, its not that big a deal guys. thanks :)

ps: as for google toolbar with ie7, i like my browser to look like what im used to. i still have five internet explorer windows open :)

Re: ye kia baat hui

^ Buy a new computer. :)

Re: ye kia baat hui

Gizzy, I've noticed this occurs with images that were posted during that time that we were using the "attach" option, not the "upload" option. Those images no longer seem to work. I'm not sure if that's the issue for ravage, but it sounds similar, because you just get the blank quote box.

Re: ye kia baat hui

same thing happens to me too when I use firefox for gs. I can't see the quote, add reply etc buttons...now that I think about no buttons. But all works fine in IE. may be owners of gs sold out to microsoft for a few billion dollars

Re: ye kia baat hui

heheh my computer just needed a restart.

good luck the rest of you :D
