ye jo regaydasht-e-firaaq hai
ye rukay agar to nishaa’N milay
ye nishaa’n milay
ke fasiloon ke saleeb hai
gari huwi hai kaha kaha
mere asmaan se kidhar gaye
tere iltifaat ke kahkisha’N
mere be khbar mere be nishaa’N
ye rukay agar to pata chalay
main tha kis nagar main to raha kahA
ke zamaa’n-o-makaa’n ke wusa’taiN tujhay dekhnay ko taras gaye
woh mere nasseb ke barishain kisi aur chat par baras gaye
