anyway..its a cultural thing..men in middle east..northern africa etc have been practicing polygamy for centuries…islamic or not…south asian men which include modern day pakistanis (indian previously)…are not too accustomed to a lifestyle that comes with more than one wife.. … south asian women are so not ok with this idea because we came from the influence of Indian culture where polygamy is not practiced..their homes have always been a ‘one-woman’ home.

When some Saudi rich arab guy has already 3 wives and he plans for a 4th Do you think by any means he forces some girl to marry him and become his 4th wife ?

See this scenario , a 56 year old sending a marraige proposal to 26 year old arab damsel to fill the place of 4 th wife… see heres a imaginary convo between mother and daughter…

Mom : Hey Nafisa ! congratulation You have got a proposal from Sheikh Mustafa Al Najam Bin zaid bin Tariq Al Khawari … He is big rich dude and has over a dozen mansions in jedda, Riaz, Alkhubar etc etc

Daghter : Jee thats good mom but isn;t he a little old and has already three wives…

Mom : Dont worry baby he will keep you like princess give you trasfer his property and houses and farms in your name. you will get $ 5 Million as haq mehr…

Daughter : Its all great, I always wanted to live like a princes but i am worried about something else … ummm you know , he is a little old … and ummm you know he has other wife and Would he be giving me ample time and ‘attention’ ?

Mom : Dont you worry darling. You know when you father died i married your current father who had already two wives … But i cant recall a day when i did not get ‘full attention’ when i needed it from him

codeR, you’re not correct. The present day ‘arbi’ people cheat on their lawful wives and have relations with many women outside of wedlock much more than the past. Because… they do not necessarily follow the old islamic tradition of 4 wives with easy women available in their or the neighbouring countries. You see, with the new money easily accessible to every tom, dick harry of the arab land, arriving the new set of morals to their heads.

I mean if a person has 2 wives already and he is sending proposal for third ( all known ) they accept this proposal. Money is one consideration but there are other things more important than money.

If these arbi men are not capable of satisfying more than one women , Why these women would marry them ??

becaz arabs are real gentle men unlike mushrique murd . once a lady is dis satisfied and she approaches a qaazi it is an embarrasement for her husband and her husband is immediately called and asked . but mushrique women have to bear each and every thing - not to even think of going to a qaazi and tolerate everything that he imposes on her . moreover its her own embarrasement if she approaches a qqzi - you see its a societal pressure and threats of a male dominated society faced by both men and women .

There is no foreplay. Men with one partner spend a lot of time in foreplay. Arbi bhai tau "utaar pajaama, daikh tamaasha" mai believe kertay haiN. We Pakistani men are a lot better in bed, trust me. I have an arab mate whose father has three wives. The first wife couldnt have kids so he married a second...and then a third for some reason im not aware of.

Hes a pretty wealthy guy so he can afford to give each of em a seperate house with maids included etc. Im not sure if the wives all get on or not.

I remember asking how many siblings she had, and she casually replied 20 :-0. ...thats eight kids from the second wife, and 12 from the third wife...and to top it all she is the 20th child.

She doesnt seem to know most of her siblings that well though, mainly because they married or moved out before she was old enough, but also cause they seem to be spread half way across the world.

And no, shes not related to bin laden.

an acquaintance of my father was a wealthy sheikh in oman, who when not marrying and racking up a child count, used to go around giving charity in villages. in one such event there was a line of people who came asking for X amount, and the sheikh would ask why, and the person would say i want to get myself a new roof etc. once a teenage boy gave the reason "cause Im your son".

having checked out the claim the sheikh was apparently quite generous.

no he didnt.

nobody really knew what the number of his children was... but when they're that many you can lose track. it was believed to be in the 70s, over a thirty year career, far as i remember.
