Im panicking a little bit. I really hope someone here can help me!
I have PCOS, and just started birth control on February 7, 2011, because according to my calculations (loose calculations because my periods are very irregular), I would get my period today (which is 8 days before my wedding). I did not want to get my period before the wedding, so the doctor told me that when I finish my first pack of active pills, just start the second pack right away, without taking any of the inactive pills. She also informed me that I may get breakthrough bleeding when Im supposed to actually get my period (today).
Today, I basically got a full blown period, not just spotting, but an actual period, and I have already started the second pack of my active pills. Is this normal, and will the period end soon? Im thinking that because I started the pills in the middle of my cycle, and not during my period (like its recommended), that i may have actually ovulated before i started the pill, and thats why Im getting a full blown period now.
Any ideas? Can anyone shed any light on this? its so annoying! I have been reading on line of some girls having their period for 3 or 4 weeks in a row! Im getting married in 10 days…I really dont want to be on my period that day!
