^ Unfortunately Imran Farhat appears for 4 consecutive fifties in the same list for the same series+same opponent... that washes away some credit IMO :D

^ Exactly, let's not overhype Hameed. He probably deserves another chance but I would n't like to say that he's greatly better than the others. but he could n't possibly do any worse than Butt etc. He's a fringe player like most of our other openers. Perhaps the only two "great" openers that we have produced to date are Majid Khan and Saeed Anwar.

^ Yes that seems reasonable given our present opening dilemma but he should only keep wickets in ODIs. His keeping leaves a lot to be desired in test matches and I really hope that they play him purely as an opener in tests. The missed chances against Kallis alone cost us something like 300-400 runs in the test series....and he has been dropping people left right and centre.

He's not brilliant but he is solid with a good temperament. He's played well vs New Zealand, Bangladesh, India, England and the West Indies...but just for a few poor performances in the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy he's been dropped

Just found out that Yasir Hameed has not even a single 50/100 AWAY from Pak. He just averages 23 (which is still better then Hafeez avergae) However, he averages almost 50 in Pak, so atleast he should play in Pak :)

^ He has played only 11 games outside Pakistan. His last 3 games: given one game in Asia Cup (SL), one game in Australia VB Series and one game in WI against WI.

Hey dont get me wrong. I still think that he can perform better then any other current pak openers.
