Yasir Hameed can break another record in the next ODI against New Zealand on Jan. 3, 2004.
Viv Richards holds the record for scoring fastest 1000+ runs. He achieved that in 21 inngins. **Yasir Hameed needs 102 runs in next ODI to break that record! **Can he do that? :k:
inshallah!
**IVA Richards**
I NO Runs HS Av
21 7 1000 153* 71.42
**Yasir Hameed**
I NO Runs HS Ave
19 1 898 127* 49.88
Btw I sincerely hope that he doesn't let the success get into his head. Uptil now thou he has done a good job of it.. lets hope he continue to play like this...
WOW, interesting indeed.
But didn’t Richards bat middle order and Hameed is an opener in ODI, which means, Hameed has more opportunities to score runs.
But anyways, it will be a remarkable feat.
the only problem i see in yasir is his failure to convert 50s to 100s....
after he has reached his 50, he almost always instantly comes dancing down the wicket, hits uo high and ends up caught a the ropes....
of the 17 times he has been dismissed in ODIs, 11 times he has been caught by the fileder and stumped (also playing at 82)....
He disappointed us. He's having having trouble scoring runs in NZ. oh well. There won't be any next time, but... Inzi's record over shadowed his performance...

Well he scored in test matches in NZL, so he is not having problems with the wickets, he is playign stupid shots.
I think, Yasir Hameed is a very good 'found' for Pakistan cricket. He's been brilliant in test and has proved himself in ODIs. I've seen him playing in last couple of ODIs and he looks very confident. There is nothing wrong with his technique. I think he's been a little unlucky the way he got out in last ODI.
However, I would like to see him come as one-down instead of opener.
