my opinion is based on having spent a significant part of my childhood there. that place is a hellhole (hopefully the trigger-happy mod sahiba will take some pills and stay calm this time). it is one of the last few places in the world where racism is almost institutionalized. I know every Pakistani feels the need to carry the burden of the unicorn known as the ummah on his/her shoulders. but go live there… and get used to being called rafeeq. that’s right…*** they actually have a derogatory word invented for your kind… yes you… their supposed brothers in Islam***. I’m not even going to get into what they do to their maids, etc. there have been plenty of articles posted. there was one recent incident where a Saudi hammered nails into the skull, knees, elbows, etc of his Sri Lankan maid. BBC did an extensive story on the abuse of maids in Arab countries. happens so often that it seems like a part of their culture. we Pakistani ppl have a lot to work on ourselves. but if there is a nation that makes me feel good about us, it is the Saudis.
I’ve always heard that the Arabs were some of the worst ppl on the planet back in the day and hence, Islam was revealed unto them. well if that was the reasoning,*** then perhaps Islam needs to be revealed all over to them.***
