**A US man detained by police over the discovery of a woman’s body at Yale University has been released without charge after providing DNA samples.**Raymond Clark, a 24-year-old Yale employee, has been described by police as a person of interest, not a suspect.
He was taken into custody after police obtained a warrant to search his house in Middleton, Connecticut.
The state’s chief medical examiner said the death of Annie Le, a student at the university, was homicide.
The precise cause of death has been withheld “to help facilitate the investigation”, he added.
New Haven Police Chief James Lewis said the DNA samples voluntarily given by Mr Clark would be compared with more than 150 pieces of evidence taken from the scene.
“We’re going to narrow this down,” Mr Lewis told the AP news agency, “We’re going to do this as quickly as we can.”
Ms Le, 24, was reported missing last week. She had been due to marry on the day her body was discovered.
Police say it was a targeted killing and other students are not in danger.
Ms Le’s fiance is not a suspect and has helped police with the investigation.
