Please let's have a discussion here ... I believe I too have stumbled across the true identity of Yajuj wa Majuj ... but I don't entirely believe they are Khazar Jews rather I believe they are from a region north of the Caucasus Mountain Range and I have a fairly lengthy explanation which involves recent studies in mtDNA and Y-Chromosome genetic ancestry.

Also I have tried to link ALL of the hadith on them and not just a select few I am getting startling results ... and in a nut shell my conclusion is that they are the Turki-Mongolic races which are made up of (excluding the Seljuks) Scythians, Huns, Sakas, Slavs, Ugrics, Mongolics. There are two main groups according to sources tall ones that some have confused as giants these are from the Huns the north men of Europe are tall in stature and also the other group are vast in number which are the Mongolics. The various hadith talk about their rampages and that has happened ... BUT

the big but ... there must be another time when they strike again I believe with a global recession brewing and the inevitable bust of the capitalistic economies the people who sympathise with communistic principles will rise and the two major peoples who are like this are the Chinese and Russians (they are secretly still communistic) ... together these will be a fairly strong force for the rest of the world to contend with.

Also Cyrus the Great met his doom in the Messagetea which is a region in current Kazakhstan the home of the Western Mongols. Prior to this he had gone to a northern region to build the wall. The elevated place to me seems obvious ... the mountain ranges of Georgia/Azerbaijan (Caucasus)

Perhaps a stretch is the etymological link ... Ugric and Mongolic can be construed to be Yajuj and Majuj ...

Furthermore the Goths are another suggestion which it would also include because they are racially similar to the scythians and possibly the huns. It seems the missing link was the tribes who made up a mixture of races but shared a common goal ...

The allied barbarian forces of the East Russian Steppes is the home to these people ... Genetically they have travelled from the north tribes in Siberia and Western edges of China ... huns are genetically linked to the Chinese by the way.

Can you expand further on the genetics research part of it? the mtdna?

a simple question

aren't people of Yahuj and Majuj those who declined the signs of Allah? Aren't they people who had been warned that wrath will compe upon them if they continue going astray? Yahuj wa Majuj happens everyday when you wake up, turn on the TV and see that the World is about to destroy itself.

it's a very simple post with a very simple observation. I don't know in which deep research you all are lost.

Sheikh Imran Hosein has recently finished his research on Dajjal and has written a series of books on Dajjal, Gog Magog and Surah Al-Kahf explanation in this context.

He has made these books electronically available on his website as well. Also you can find dozens of his lectures on youtube on this topic.

He thinks the Caucasian race (German/Russian blood) which is the root of Anglo-Saxon is Gog and Magog.

There is only one fact, a sahi hadith quotes Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as saying that no one knows the time of qiyamah but Allah. So we can guess and guess and research and research some more but still you cannot know it.
