Channji, Even though I am not the one who likes to blow his own horn, but in this case, I can safely take credit for making you want to go to Lahore. Nankana Sahib is just an excuse.
Code: I will be there for about 3 days atleast.
main destination is Lahore. Will travel one day to Nanakana sahib for few hours, one day to Padhaana pind on border(few kilometers from Burki) for few hours and rest of the time in Lahore.
Madhanee, you are quite right about that. I was as much sold by your stories about baansaN wala bazaar and gawal mandi as by Hiramandi tributes.
you know when i returned from pakistan, i'd brought sweets for many people but i forgot one training co-ordinator at work so... i mean he is in a different and we dont talk much so i didnt know... anyway, he came to me and asked, "are you from lahore?" (cz all the sweet boxes had address of lahore so maybe he looked at the box with someone). I said, "yeah, why?" he mumbled something slowly... i said, "WHAT??" he said, "no you arent from lahore cz you didnt understand what i said." I said, "say once again louder." he said, "no, no, you arent from lahore. i wont." i screamed, "SAY WHAT?? I DIDNT HEAR YOU." then he came closed to me and repeated in a cute accent, "jeenay lorr ni wikiya o jamya nai." I laughed so hard. he is a local arab and his was such a cute way of saying. He made me smile. i kept a box of sweet for him which i had brought for a friend who was not reachable.
