Yahoo messenger/AIM/MSN interopertability

Can someone on MSN chat with someone on Yahoo messenger?
Any possibilities?

Channji, try trillian here . You can log into most of the popular messengers and be able to chat with all of your buddies.

Channji, it depends on your gigabyte capacity and the size of your floppy. Is it 3 ½? You ain’t gonna get any with 3 ½.

Chann ji, yeh problem might just be with your floppy or just the size of it.

madhanee and roman: this shows how much you know about "this" subject...meaning nothing. Having copied few files(of other people) here and there onto your so 90's floppies does not make you guys computer experts. Go back to improving your hand writing - at least that works for you guys.

I have a top of the line laptop with multi gigabite RAM, top ofthe line touch screen, dual mouse pad, full wirelsess networkability, beautifully curved chassis, and above all a long lasting battery - 4 to 5 hours(madhanees is trembling in his pants by now probably). and without the problems of sudden unwanted pop-ups or shutdowns that some other people face day in and day out.

You guys are not talking about messanger programs. Not really. Kaleem's valiant efforts are wasted.

Sure Channji, you have a multigigibyte Ram laptop, what use it is if you can’t use the MSN/Yahoo on that? The only reason I don’t like laptops is that you have to lug it everywhere you go. I rather not carry stuff when I move about, and use whatever I can get my hands on.

Faisal right. I think these first 2 guys who derailed the discussion should be debriefed and punished.

Kaleem, Thanks for your suggestion. I talked to our IT guy and he recommended the same thing. Sounds like a good solution.

Chann ji, how is your Trillian working? Smooth ride so far? Let me know 'cause I might need install it as well. Does it allow threesome of sessions between different messengers simultaneously or you've to switch hands?

You guys probably know this already but I HAVE to butt in. Even though you can chat with Yahoo/MSN/AIM users when logged into Trillian, it still uses separate connectoids to the mentioned services. Hence you can't "conference in" an MSN and an AIM user in the same window, like you can do with multiple users in the same service (e.g. just logged into MSN you can have a chat session with multiple parties in the same window, like a chat room).
So to address the original question, "Can someone on MSN chat with someone on Yahoo messenger?", the answer is no.

PS: I just did not understand the reference to floppies. (it depends on your gigabyte capacity and the size of your floppy) Was that supposed to have any underlying innuendo?
