I really liked the ending for Haleema. Glad to know she stood up for herself and didn't reconcile with her jerk-of-a-hubby . but why oh why do these pakistani dramas have to include divine retribution BS in every storyline?? why did the sister have to end up paralyzed and divorced. why couldn't she have remained married to that douche guy without all the unnecessary drama? Why do our writers feel the need for a dhamakay daar ending at all?? In this regard, I liked the ending of Maata e jaan, because Adam didn't end up handicapped as divine retribution for abusing sanam saeed, but rather paid for his crime through a legal process and learned his lesson. The whole concept of divine retribution sends the wrong message of tolerating any kind of zulm that happen to you coz someday there will be divine intervention!

Yeah I liked how it ended with Haleema being able to stand up for herself. But Shamalia being divorced and paralyzed ... could have been better :/ They didn't really show why he would divorce her. It proves hes a jerk to both wives.

I found the paralysis bit a little too much as well. Mawra acted it out well though.

How does it sends the wrong message? You don't believe in divine retribution? What goes around.....comes around. Mawra knowingly got involved with Saim because she didn't like her cousin Haleema. She got was she deserved. Maybe it was a bit too dramatic ....... but I don't think it sends a wrong message.

Wow! I actually liked something directed by Fahim Burney. Absolutely loved Saba Qamar's acting. Such a different role from her role in Maat. She is a brillant actress. Also loved Junaid Khan's acting. He is taking over Hum Tv and looks like might even surpass Fawad Khan.
I am not surprised that Saim divorced Shumaila. She was not be trusted and Saim learned his lesson. Glad that Haleema stood up for herself.
The only part that I found totally unrealistic is the part where he slaps Shumaila and she becomes paralyzed. I mean they could have shown her falling down the stairs or something..........but from a simple thapur to get paralyzed that is overdramatic. overall i found it to be the best drama (at this time) on Humtv. Hope they have better dramas coming up in October.

story line was not new or unexpected but overall a good drama.....a good one by faheem burney (compared to his previous cheesy dramas)
good acting by all.
3 things annoyed me though...shumaila's voice (sometimes), sabih's wide open eyes, and najam's breath's voice in the song.
lol i am thinking that haleema should be thankful to shumaila...because if it wasnot shumaila then haleema would not have been able to stand up for her self. hehe
