Uff the episode i saw today was totally bollywood inspired complete with dhan dhaan dhashan background scorSe and lame thappar scene b/w halima and saim.. :s

I really enjoyed the episode from last night esp the thappur ka rokna, oye hoye hoye hoye!
I liked haleema's mini lecture about wanting to be independent and that she is capable of earning 'rizk' herself rather than depend on a man. i think that sends a positive message to our women who often rely on their parents or hubby's support, even in times of financial crises. I also liked that she asked her hubby to leave the house when he started yelling at his mom, because she didn't want that to negatively influence the kids. Conventional desi thinking dictates you to stick with the hubby no matter what otherwise "bache bighur jain gay". It's good to see someone argue against that and that too in a pakistani drama which usually depict women as helpless and needy.
This is turning into Faiza Iftikhar's better conclusions. I really think this lady is talented and has some brilliant ideas (as i ranted in my faiza iftikhar thread), she just needs to take a step back and focus on quality and she'll create some brilliant and inspiring stories. Yahan pyar nahi hai has had some major problems but i like the essence of the story: if a person kicks you down, don't become a star plus ki ronay dhonay wali heroine, take charge of your life and get something accomplished!

Absolutely agree! They either show that or have her married to another man. I am SOOOOOOOOOO disgusted by stories where they show women getting married to old uncles because they don't want to live in poverty or whatever.
