Yaad

Is tarhaN yaad hey teri har baat jesey kuch deir hi qabal
tu merey pehlu meiN beitthi kuch keh rahi thi mujhey
aur meiN dunya sey ghaafil, tamaam jahaaN sey alag
teri samandar si aaNkhoN meiN kho raha tha kaheeN
par waqt ke haath sey lamhoN ki reit nikli to laga
ke hum faasloN ke an’ginat samandaroN ke aar paar
apney apney khaaboN ki tooti hui kashtiyaaN utthey
firaaq ke aesey kinaaroN par aan pohNchey heiN
jahaaN par ik doosrey ki simt bhi hameiN yaad nahi
Lafz to ab bhi phool ke maanind yaad ki shaakoN par
har aek mosam meiN reh reh ke khiltey rehtey heiN
par safar haeraan hey ke manzil ke nishaaN gaeb heiN
waqt ka ishaara hey ke rastoN ke khuda khaaif heiN
bikhrey khaaboN ke malboosaat zehan ki almaari meiN
muntazir heiN ke terey haathoN sey phir tarteeb miley
laakh rastoN ke khudaaoN ney mooN morr liya
dil ye chahata hey tujh sey milney ki koi tarkeeb miley!
KahaaN wo lamhey ke har pal nigaah meiN rehtey they
kahaaN ye aalam ke chehrey bhi theek sey yaad nahi
jin ki aaghosh meiN mohabbat ke phool khiltey they
aaj un baahoN ke gheirey bhi theek sey yaad nahi
tarhaN tarhaN ke bahaanoN sey jahaN jahaN bhi miley
mulaaqaatoN ke wo dey’rey bhi theek sey yaad nahi!
Kis tarhaN aas ke dhokey meiN saaNs chalti rahi - yaad nahi
kis tarhaN ummeed par be’basi ki os parrti rahi - yaad nahi
kis tarhaN zindagi apney rang dhang badalti rahi - yaad nahi
nahi nahi mujhey kuch bhi nahi yaad magar,
is tarhaN yaad hey teri har baat jesey kuch dier hi qabal
tu merey pehlu meiN beitthi,
kuch keh rahi thi mujhey…!!!

I must say, this is one of the best pieces of poetry I have read ever... Every word is well put, at its right place... Thank you for sharing Gul... and welldone Amal... :-)
