On losing to England

how can you say he said it because of racial complex?
If I were in his place I'd say the same. If some team beats you, and then in next level another team beats that team it simply means that there are more than 1 teams better than yours, however if the team who beat you goes on and wins the title you can think that you were beaten by the champs, a relief to some extent.
