Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN....

So I wanted to know if any of u girls (or guys that have wife/gf/sis) use chanel foundation…need some feedback on it… Also when I was at the mall I saw this stall in the middle (those mini carts) called “Natural Beauty” they sell makeup. Their makeup looked like the makeup that the beauty parlor (Alle’ Nora) had, but not sure if it was the exact same since people in PK don’t tell the brand of their makeup… …anywayz their eye shades are really pretty…but the guy seemed desperate to sell products…makes me a little suspecious…anyone heard of products called Natural Beauty??? Their shades are usually glittery and in little tin things…anywayz u know my point…so share ur ideas!

Thanks…

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN....

i could help you but i dont know even the ABC of makeup.........

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN....

When it comes to foundations/powders, I've tried almost every brand out there and I believe that Chanel is the best. :)

I used to use Chanel Double Perfection Fluide with a pressed powder. But a few months ago I started using/currently use their Double Perfection Compact....I love it. I never had any problem using their liquid foundation....but I switched to compact b/c it gives a heavier coverage(I have some acne scars on my face and very uneven skin tone), and it's saves me time since it's a 2 in 1 compact.

Even though it's a little pricey....I think I paid around $45 for the Compact, I think it's worth every penny.

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN....

Mac, Mac, Mac.....

It's superb :=)

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN....

its different strokes for different folks, Mac, Chanel, Lancome, and Clinique didn't work for me. I love Dior's foundation. try different brands, mac works for most ppl.

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN....

I only use a serum from Chanel and i love it!

As far as foundation. I don't like the feel of foundation. I only use it when going to a wedding. Mac has really good foundation and also their blush, eyeshadows work so well with our dresses and skintones.

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN....

^ you didn't say what type of foundation??? please specify... thanks :)

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN....

Roshi, darling, you don't worry i will take you to the Mac store and you can help yourself to any foundation you want;)

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN…

CHANEL----Double Perfection Fluide/compact :k:
If you’re looking for something in a light or creamy texture…might wanna try the creme poudre…trust me you will love it

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN…

I dont like Mac foundation :snooty: i like clinique’s foundation and Lancomes photogenic cocealer

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN…

This makeup thread makes me wanna get all dressed up
and go to a party sharty. :queen:

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN....

I prefer a tinted moisturiser.

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN....

I didnt like it one bit n i loooooooooove lancome's dual finish

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN…

I use foundation from The Body Shop, only cause it matches my complexion perfectly and I have yet to find any other brand that is able to do this without making my face look like it has something on. TBS foundation makes my skin look and feel very natural, as if I have nothing on my face. I love it.

I have heard good things about Chanel though. Just make sure you get a foundation that actually matches your complexion. Too many desi girls wear a foundation that is very visible and does not match their skin tone. Be sure to test it out in natural light as the department stores use those flourescent lights and can’t really give you an accurate view of how it will look on you outside of the store.

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN....

The best foundation by Chanel is their Vitalumiere range unfortunately not much good for me as they dont have a near colour match for me. Best foundations are by Mac, Stila, Bobbi Brown or if your in the UK then Boots No 7 range, Tecos's only range simply called 'Makeup' got a good few shades for asian skin colouring or Body Shops. When you go foundation shopping, put three near match shades near your jawline and go out into natural daylight to see which one sort of sinks into the skin. After all you are going to be wearing the foundation in natural daylight not under fluorescent lighting. Another alternative is to buy a tinted moisturiser. I use a tinted moisturiser, takes me a min to apply and am outta door in the morning.

Re: Ya one of those makeup threads AGAIN…

I second that. Her foundation makes her skin look porcelain and flawless and u can barely see it on her skin.
