well i got curious and looked it up online. it seems like it is originally arabic song (surprise :| )
and copied by bollywood. everywhere i read the comments people are mad that bollywood didnt give the due credits but at the same time they like hindi version better. and i am not talking about just indians but eveyone..

The original is always the best in the creative sense, everything else is a derivative.
As for the hindi version, it is a complete joke, the lyrics I mean.
In fact the Malaylam version is much better both in the melody and lyrics (yea I had a south indian friend translate).
Don't let your biases control you...'Ya Ali' (haha what a blasphemous song).

well no doubt original is good too. but for someone who doesnt speak arabic and cannot connect to the meaning of the song the hindi version sounds better.
btw i may be biased but i like hindi version better, plus i found lyrics nice too..

I am not hating on the hindi version. I can pretty much understand it all, but lyrics could have been better.
Anyways we all have our preferences, so lets just enjoy the music (whichever version).
