What criterion would you have me use? I use my judgement on account I can't really use anybody else's. Should we have a more democratic GS? Sure. If i was going to run GS on stern Islamic lines I'd probably make SalmanNY mod of General and armughal mod of Shor Sharaba. Maybe you should contact Admin and see if these changes can be implemented?

Why don't you just let us close the issue once and for all? So far mods have been deciding what we think ppl may or may not find offensive, and you ppl have been jumping up and down no matter what step we take, so now that we're looking for your reaction, why don't you cut the personal BS and make some valid point so we can match you guys wishes if they make sense?

sabah, you did not address my point regarding the respect people expect for the Prophet. in general, it does seem that you people have a much looser definition/expectations of that than what the rest of the people seem to want. you should bear that in mind when moderating, because you're not moderating for yourself, you're moderating for the rest of us. i wasnt specifically talking about your intentions, I was saying that a common answer is that it wasnt his intention to be blasphemous, or that he is trying to make a point behind his irreverance. Both arguments dont hold up, because using obscenities for either reason wouldnt hold either. There is a way for expressing your ideas, and I could be thematically much, much more adventurous without having the subtlety of a rhino while doing it.

This is totally nonsense. GS has never allowed religious mud-slinging, and has always either deleted such discussions or edited them. To accuse the team of allowing “religious insults” but not allowing “personal banters” is totally without merit. In the other thread, Outlaw called me an A-Hole, try calling that to some religious figure and see how fast you depart from this site. So give credit where it is due instead of talking thru you ass all the time. Goes for CM as well. CM try calling A-Hole to some religious person (Islamic or non-Islamic) and see how fast you disappear from here.

your point was rather defeated by Sabah editing out (from my post) the insult you used to make your point no? now regardless of how much I actually might like aholes, i believe sabah would still edit it out if it were used to describe someone.
and regardless, you dont have a point. The Prophet isnt 'anyone', he is someone very specific, who's demands of respects from the perspective of a Muslim arent unknown to either of you.
