So my XP box has a user account and whenever I try to map a drive using that account and mistype the password, it gets locked. I want to give myself some room and only lock the account after 5 tries.
Does anyone know where to change this setting?

Re: XP User Account Settings
maybe check settings by running "%SystemRoot%\system32\secpol.msc /s".
I suspect it may be under Account Policies.
Re: XP User Account Settings
^ yes, it is
Start-->run-->type "secpol.msc"
expand Account Policies
Click Account lockout policy
come to the screen on the right, and double click Account lockout threshold and change it to however many tries you want
while u r at it...
change the Reset account lockout time to your convenience
