Today I turned on my XBox 360, the three red lights started flashing (quadrants 1,3 and 4). However, everything seemed to be working fine otherwise; I was able to navigate the dashboard just fine, though I didn’t put in a game or start playing. Anyone know what’s going on here? Is this a sign that it’s dying or is it just a false alarm?

it happens when cables are loose like joystick or hd cable is not properly inserted

Yes, seems like babloos is right. I disconnected and reconnected the cables, then started it up and actually got in a few minutes of Gears of War 3.
