lot is but a vessel..if u can make matka gosht.. i have seen ppl make gosht in a wok also, or a frying pan, why not a lota.
see i like salan, and i just think serving salan in a lota is so nice, u can pick the meat and then pour the salan from the spout.
i did nt talk about my meatballs, but lota gosht

on a serious note: i know this isnt a bad idea but since we use lota for other stuff, so its kinda even think about going the clean way with lota. Its just like those asia/chinese I assume, opened a restaurant with bathroom setup - yukhhh
