its an open ended ending guys...marval comics were notorius for bringing back characters supposedly dead..Prof X comes back in the comics as well..and yes so did Phoenix..Scott died and came back in the comics as well!
Anyways both the director and Jackman have said they think this was the last so like the end to most trilogies the focus was on character resolution rather than development..

Conclusion of X-MEN 3. Storm finally gets to shag Wolverine. Rogue finally gets to Shag bobby.
I saw on TV that the director did say this is the last of the X-MEN movies however the spin offs might include a movie dedicated to Wolverine only.
Which makes you think.. if Wolverine was injected with the 'cure', would it really matter since he isnt a genetic mutant.. he was 'made' into one by all that adamantium. What say?

Brilliant story, awful acting and the action scenes. Poor character development and appearances of the character. No new tricks or effects in this movie. I was expecting more from it. They could have certainly make it more creative.

And now for the review, I have to agree with MM, no character development, cheesy one-liners, and very infantile at times. Things were inserted just for the sake of special effects, like magneto moving the whole golden gate bridge, like wtf, was it necessary?
A big let down.
And as for another installment of Xmen, the signs are all there. One more is sure to come, at least they have kept the option open, by keeping Scott's death vague and unclear, showing magneto hasn't lost his powers and Xaviers living on in the coma patient.

ah boy sounds like the first X-Men. I was laughing all the way thru the 1st movie. The 2nd one was cool cuz Wolverine is so dang Hawt!!!

Did anyone read the comics or watch the cartoon show as a child?
They even showed Apocolypse (the cure kid). Hopefully thats what he'll become.
And like in the series, Cyclops should return with his brother!
Phoenix is far from dead, She still has to return.
It should be interesting later on...

Sigh…Wolverine is a genetic mutant. His mutation is the ability to regenerate and animal like senses. Only the adamantium was added later.

Total Disppaointed. Waste of money and time 
I was really looking forward to this one and it turned out to be total crap!
The only good scene was the last one.
How do you kill Dr Jean Grey, The professor and Scott and call it X-men?? I mean come onnn!!
And “curing” mystique sooo early in the movie??
And I really did not like Jean’s evil side. They could’ve done so much more with it.
And why didnt they have more of Angel in the movie?
They better make a 4rth one and it better be GOOD!

I just watched it. It was o.k. I expected a lot more from the movie. It was too soppy and seemed to drag on during some scenes.
I am sure the reason why I didn’t like this one was because they focussed too much on Storm. She’s annoying.
Jean looked proper scary when she turned into Phoenix. I still want red hair again. 
I stayed around till the end of the credits. The first two X-Men movies were simply amazing. This one was just o.k. I am looking forward to the fourth one anyway.
