Probably the only drama tv series I watched ever.
The greatest show of all time, eventhough it declined after Mulder left but he will be back for the final episode.
Only 2 episodes are left.
I know there are many x file fans in here, especially hk, the x file fanatic.
They failed to do what the previous 3 series of Star Trek did. Apart from the original series, all of the shows went on for 7 years with oustanding ratings... And the best thing is, in case of The next generation and deep space nine, the shows ended whilst they were getting the best ratings (in their 7th) year!!
X-files lacked consistency... But overall a great series.
(reading the title of the thread)
Shukar Alhamdulillah
… More time for Sunday Comedies on FOX…
Futurama… King of the Hill, the Simpsons… and Malcolm in the Middle…

trek was more of a cult show, but if you see the ratings, all of its shows (apart from the very first one, in the 60s) did alot better than the x-files... each went on for 7 years and the last year was the one in which they drew the best ratings... TNG was dubbed in 60 languages, which is a record...

I don't know why everyone in here despise X Files.
I wasn't a really big fan of any of the Star Trek series.
Yes I agree, X File movie was a huge dissapointment regardless of going along the storyline, there wasn't anything interesting.

Umair, I dont despise it yar, i just said that it was very good when it started, but then continued to get worse day by day... A great series has to be good until they pull the plug...
eventhough i'm don't consistently watch X-files on TV, or for that matter, any other prog on TV, i liked X-files...i believe the finale is today...definitly gonna watch that...
If I'm dreaming, never let me wake. If I'm awake, never let me sleep.
series finale was soooo good. I mean, it was really well done and special effects were amazing for a tv series. They made it 2 hours long...they ought to have just made a movie out of it! They would have made more money...although I dont know if it would have been a crowd puller esp after the series went down the drain the minute mulder disappeared.
But they've got to come out with a movie...whatever happens to the baby?
I watched the last episode and I have to be dissappointed.
The better ending would have been if Mulder would have been given the lethal injection and still stayed alive because of his super human powers given by the aliens from his abduction in the last season.
The ending was happy and that made it different but also the same from the previous episodes.
Like always the X File case never closed but this time it became more of a happier ending because Scully and Mulder got togeather, kind of cheesy.
The smoking man was still alive after being pushed of the stairs last year, kind of weird.
I wasnt going to reply to this thread when i saw it since i consider my obsession with the show soooo personal and i just cant take criticism of the show but its still nice to hear some X-files chatter here. In my opinion, it is the BEST show in television history..but then im biased
i loved the finale but was left unsettled. Chris is such a teaser! i knew he was going to leave us with somewhat of a cliffhanger. But he’s working on a movie script.
I kinda felt bad for Dogget and Reyes..i mean, like many of the die hard philes, i wanted to see their relationshiop develop more. Robert Patrick and Annabeth have been absolutely amazing!! but ofcourse i love Gillian and my baby DAVID
oh and UMAIR316 i read what you wrote about Fight the Future. You know im not going to say that i loved it!!
I think the thing is that the X-Files is like a mini-movie being aired each week...thats sort of the insider joke between Chris Carter(creator) and all the XF staff. The entire look and feel of the show is so very excellent, its like watching a movie..so i guess when Fight the Future was released, most peope who had watched the show before, felt like its was just another episode...although there was a lot more graphics and stuff involved.
