WWF ---> WWE?

heard this on the news…that they changed the name from World Wrestling Federation to World Wrestling Entertainment…cuz apparently this title was disputed, and the other WWF, World Wildlife Fund (i think) won the case…

Don't know why but I think DM is right, there is another company with the innitals of WWF, which I think was established before WWF came to be known, now the name perfectly suits the show.
WWE kind of sounds a little weird.

***Probably being the longest WWF fan on GUPSHUP (1986)... here is the true story.

Long Before World Wrestling Federation (1980s) the "WWF" logo belonged to the World Wildlife Fund (1967) but WWE was lucky enough to get the .com and World Wildlife Fund got the .org
Because "WWF" originally belonged to World Wildlife Fund, they won the case and i think in 6 months to a year the wwf.com will direct to World Wildlife Fund instead of World Wrestling Federation. Watch out for a huge promotion where they will promote the WWE.com address!!

The new WWE is pretty retarded and the logo looks stupid, since they own WCW & ECW... they should combine both and come up with something else. THats my 2 cents folks...
