An interesting product is out in the markets in America, called Hair Off. This is a facial buffer-like hair remover. It is a three-inch tool that performs in the same manner as a pumice stone. You attach a fine sandpaper-like paper on the surface and gently scrub dry, hairy facial skin with it. The hair comes off along with any dead skin. Also, in-growths are not formed and your skin feels smooth. It costs approximately 5 dollars (less than Rs. 250) at CVS, and paper refills are also available definitely a good option for removal of facial hair.

Re: wt is it/

have you actually used it? am skeptical about it to work or at least the way they claim it works

Re: wt is it/

sounds like a razor work, i have seen the product ad on TV in US. i'd be careful rubbing my FACE with a stone!

Re: wt is it/

urg again!

this stuff has existed for yearsssssss under different brands. it's basically very fine sand/glasspaper.

you are just using abrasive friction to break the hairs, rather than cut them (which is what shaving or trimming do). on top of that, you're also messing up the skin. it might feel nice if you do it once (what doesn't feel smooth after sanding down?) but since it's not different to shaving, when the hair continues to grow, you need to keep doing it. certainly not good for the skin.

Re: wt is it/

Ummm.....yea....rubbing my face with sandpaper like paper (no matter how fine) on a regular basis just sounds like a bad idea. Especially if you use AHA's or any retinol products...or do peels. Doesn't sound like it would be good for the skin after years of using this.

Re: wt is it/

it's no good.. i tried it had to rub my arm forever to get the hair off .. wasn't impressed.

Re: wt is it/

Yeah i once tried this and it was to harsh for my skin and made it all red and sore :( plus its exactly like shaving so its basically a stupid idea!
