this is the actual story how this poem came into being.Ahmed shamim was travelling from Pindi to Islamabad on a wagon ride when a young girl asked him…“Baba jee zara jaga deena”. He said i was stunned kay umar guzar gaye…This was the inspiration behind this poem. He died a couple of years after writing this but will always remain in our memories
