when people get married, on their mehndis, why do some women write their future husbands’ name on their hands? is it out of a excitement?

what do you think it's not supposed to be write it on the hand ...... i think it's very good. When a husband would see her spouse's hand having his name on...will feel alots of love & trust

I think mehndi should only be used for designs and I think it's silly when people use it to write words/names. =\

there is this game that they play over the border. basically, you write the guy's name on the hand, but make it so he can't spot it easily. so the guy has to, on the wedding night find the name. not only it is an icebreaker (considering it is an arranged marriage and all), but the longer it takes the guy to find his name, the more the wife would be "superior" over her husband.
