Wright ruled out of England games

**All-rounder Luke Wright will miss England’s remaining two one-day matches against Australia after being ruled out with a toe injury.**Wright missed Tuesday’s defeat in the seven-match series after being hit by a ball while facing a bowling machine in the practice nets.

Australia won the game by four wickets and lead the series 5-0.

The England and Wales Cricket Board will assess Wright’s fitness next week ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy.

That tournament in South Africa starts on Tuesday, 22 September, with England’s first match - against Sri Lanka - next Friday, 25 September, in Johannesburg.

Wright, who needed stitches after being hit on the big toe of his left foot, misses Thursday’s day-night game at Trent Bridge and the final match of the series in Durham on Sunday.

Hampshire captain Dimitri Mascarenhas, who replaced Wright on Tuesday, will remain with the squad after scoring 19 runs and taking one wicket in Tuesday’s four-wicket defeat in Nottingham.
