It’s silly how people think slaps are for weaker folk… if anything a Slap is the way thats most efficient.

Yeah but heres the thing a slap transfers greater energy into an opponents body than a punch…

only an elbow or knee strike is more deadly…

Also slaps are much faster and if the strike is delivered with accuracy then it’s far more effective than punching.

There are 27 bones in the Human hand and most folk will realize the hands are not designed for battering… an open hand strike can also be utilized in many more ways it can be delivered back handed and as a chop.

^ No it dont… thats the thing… A proffesional puncher can do a lot of damage but it’s hard to achieve any serious internal damage with a single puch… unless your a heavywhieght boxer.

If your a expert in Pakiti Tersia or San Soo you’ll be able to deliver a lot more damage from a single slap than any punch a puch also has less speed than a slap…

Perhaps slaps a bad word it should be open handed strike.

Look at it this way a punch uses more energy in delivery and thus the force is atually less.

It’s like comparing a mortar to a rocket.

Mortars deliver a heavy shot, but rockets have greater speed and range by the time mortar lands a hit a rocket has already won.

have u actually considered the physics and all? of the punch and slap?

cause (from what i know) when we’re talkign about the slap then the force is actually spread out(considering the area of the palm)…and in that case lesser force will be felt by the person being hit…
and in the punch the force is sort of focused on the front part(i think the phalanges??) and when it is delivered…ouch…should hurt like heyll:D
