Depends on thee guy I guess..

My friend married a guy who was diabetic and she ended up being a nurse to him. He wouldn’t take responsibility for his own health and wouldn’t do anything diet or exercise wise to improve his physical well-being. Instead, my friend had to constantly make sure he was eating the right things, exercising, taking his meds… etc etc. She said it was like looking after a kid.

Needless to say, that marriage didn’t last for long..

I know plenty of ppl (esp elders) who don’t look after themselves, eat whatever the hell they like then sit there and complain about how ill they are from the diabetes.. It really grates on me..
