I noticed most replies are from people living abroad...and I totally understand the arguement of wanting to wear shalwar kameez in Pak, since you don't wear it abroad so often....but it sounds like most say they wear it coz it's like a novelty and it's fun for someone living abroad, no because it wuold not be OK to wear something else...especially since most wear jeans/kurta/western styles when abroad and family and friends are OK with it there....what do you think, makes sense?
I wonder if those living in Pakistan year-round have a different perspective...?
yes u can see ppl wearing sleeveless /capris etc in malls/ shopping plazas but only 1 or 2% of the majority ,in posh areas theses clothese are considered normal n acceptable u can see them there like Zamzama ,gulf, resturants ,hotels /private party dinners etc but still it is not very common, even in Karachi .
