If desis of whatever religion were really so culturally similar then there was no need for Pakistan.
That is why i am strongly against any kind of “south asian” unity between muslims and hindus because it negates the two-nation theory.

I remember that in college and university, they had South Asian clubs, but no separate Indian and Pakistani ones. The thing is that many people who were members were international students. Seeing that, I’d assume that even non-westernized desis share that view as well.
