I am planning to go to pakistan in September. I will be 15 weeks pregnant at that time. I am being told by all freinds and coworkers thats its not the best time to go there.
I will be staying in Lahore for 3 weeks. But apparently there has been cases of gastro around lahore not just specific to flood areas…
its my brother-in-laws wedding so in-laws are really hoping that we come. I guess my question is what would you do in this situation?
I can just comment on the Gastroenteritis thing. I personally got it twice and it is really painful! :/ Plus you are kept at a hospital for drips and Flagyl drip and god knows. The stomach spasms are deadly. :/ Just be careful. My mum also got it and my family.
Also stick to mineral water of a good brand brought from a store that has a high sales turnover. I had a stomach infection earlier in my pregnancy from a mcdonalds burger in Lahore, the vomiting etc. sucked so bad :(
it's okay to visit Lahore as long as you don't eat food at the shaadis and from outside and strictly no water except for mineral water. When you go to shaadi or vailma or whatever just stick to beverages like coke etc but DO NOT HAVE WATER. Also , avoid having that open (non tetra packed ) milk.
I know Sara, how could i go and dont eat outside :)
well, I do plan to drink Nestle water (is that good enough, any other good brand? )
and as far as eating out is concerned..... i am so looking forwardto eat at the Village and Dera...
Can you guys atleast name few places where i can eat and not have stomach problems??
if there is no place then i guess i will resort to eating at home all the the time!
