Would you tell your mate/parent/spouse/partner .........

… that their breath stinks?

Are you too polite not to say anything cos you love them and don’t want to hurt their feelings and continue to suffer in silence?

Or are you the ‘direct’ kind of person who believes that you have to be cruel to be kind, therefore being upfront about it and hurting their feelings?

Do you believe the direct approach gets results and would you help this person, maybe they were not aware of it?

Answers on a postcard please …

Re: Would you tell your mate/parent/spouse/partner .........

Actually I expect my wife to tell me that. Its better for her to tell me that than some stranger telling me that (or worst, me making some person uncomfortable with my stinking breath)

Re: Would you tell your mate/parent/spouse/partner .........

I agree what TLK said I would rather be told by my spouse than an outsider.

Re: Would you tell your mate/parent/spouse/partner .........

i do

Re: Would you tell your mate/parent/spouse/partner …

Why would that hurt anyone’s feelings? It would embarrass them but that’s about it. They’ll get over it soon enough! Best to be told by your family than an outsider.

Re: Would you tell your mate/parent/spouse/partner …

Yep better to have Fammily point it out than Strangers or if you want to play smart then you can…

Theres a famous film quote that comes to mind.

Cavalry Captian: “Hey Injun! You know you speak with stinking breath?”

Apache Indian: “Apache may have smelly breath, but White man speak with false Tongue!” :omg:

Re: Would you tell your mate/parent/spouse/partner …

I’d much rather my husband tell me than Farkhanda Auntyjaan. She’ll tell all the other aunties too and they’ll all turn niqabi in front of me :hmmm:.
Sveets, his breath smells of roses and jasmines boiled together in gardenia broth :chai:

Re: Would you tell your mate/parent/spouse/partner .........

I would tell someone or subtly offer them gum - chances are they'll definately take gum - PROBLEM SOLVED! But i do tell my fiancee and it's true that it may be awkward at first but they do eventually move on! I would like someone i know to tell me rather than a stranger :/

Re: Would you tell your mate/parent/spouse/partner .........

stop smelling my mouth you perv

Re: Would you tell your mate/parent/spouse/partner .........

Oh never. I would rather bear it. Although I agree its better than having some third person point that out. Even then, Im more like the first category you described.

Re: Would you tell your mate/parent/spouse/partner .........

Yes I would but only to my partner.
