Would you take such a step to make someone realize ?

I once read that Quaid-e-Azam did not use to take interest in studies in his childhood. Once his father decided to teach him a lesson as to show him what would happen to him if he did not study.. He left his son with a friend for one whole week to perform labor all day. Quaid-e-Azam said that after this incident I never showed laziness in studies.

My father also taught me and my siblings few such lessons. In spite of many warnings, me and my elder brother tried to set fire on dry leaves in our garden. Soon a large part of the garden was on fire. After the Fire brigade was gone, a team of police came to arrest us, all this was planned by my dad so that we learn a lesson. We never made such a mistake again.

Once in teenage I was calling my car very bad so much that my dad decided to give me a bus trip in Pakistan. After that I never became unthankful for the car we had.

Today I visited few houses and since I have returned I couldn’t stop thanking Allah (s.w.t) for blessing me with such a clean and healthy environment, such nice neighbours and all the facilities that I used to take for granted when I used to compare my house with other better houses.

The Making of a Leader.

I'd do the same to my children :)

I agree, if we teach our child through practical examples in life, we would inshaAllah help him in becoming a good leader in future. But the child should also have a potential to learn instead of thinking negatively. People like Quaid-e-Azam are very rare and not born every day.

Sometimes I feel nature itself teaches us lessons through practical examples in daily life (Alhamdulillah) to make us realize the importance of things we usually might take for granted. Whenever I come to know of fights among couples, I feel that it is the nature's way of reminding me that nature has blessed me with an amazing wife, who only knows compromising, sacrificing and serving without expecting anything in return. I wish I could learn from these lessons of nature and one day become as good a human being as my wife is. (MAshaAllah)
