If you were told that you’re too intimidating?
Lol, that is not a compliment
Re: Would you take it as a compliment..
only if Batman said that to me.
Re: Would you take it as a compliment..
depends on the situation and who is telling you that.
Re: Would you take it as a compliment..
I went on a rishta date with a younger man earlier this year, and shared it with my colleagues the next day, who told me in return I must have intimidated him on so many levels, being more educated, being stylish/pretty, and being older. I didn’t really take them seriously but it was flattering to hear. So I guess you could say I took it as a compliment. ![]()

Re: Would you take it as a compliment..
^Well picture or it didn’t happen all about stylish and prettyness..
@Topic.
Well..i don’t get intimated with older girls. Just be myself. The gorgeous girl i dated..she was 33 and some sort of scientist. And i am 30..which is cool. When i talk to them..i do however..find them at bit more mature than me. And being intimidating is not a complement yo.
Re: Would you take it as a compliment..
^I’m not interested in being judged like that…so no pictures for you.

Re: Would you take it as a compliment..
That would really depend on how you take the word “intimidated”…often people can use it in a negative connotation and I guess that makes sense cuz its the kinda power u have over people which can’t really be very positive. But the kind of world we belong to, I think being able to intimidate people is actually a “quality”. So I would react upon it depending upon who says it :p.
Re: Would you take it as a compliment..
most of the time ![]()
Re: Would you take it as a compliment..
It depends on the context. If you’re perceived as “intimidating” because you possess a quality that the viewer is impressed by or desires, then it’s a compliment. For example, someone might find your attractiveness, or intelligence, or accomplishments, or adeptness at a task to be intimidating. It produces a sense of awe/anxiety that may be expressed in a positive way…or…it could rouse feelings of competition/jealousy/insecurity. But even in the the latter case, the negative feelings stem from a desire to posses the trait/status/position that you have…so the intimidation is still seen as a compliment.
Conversely, if one finds you “intimidating” because you either act in a way or posses traits that are perceived as negative, then the word is not a compliment. For instance, if you’re seen as “intimidating” because your body language or demeanor offends others, or because you are aggressive, or you make threats, or you misuse your authority and power…then it’s not a flattering comment because such qualities are generally found to be distasteful. It still produces awe/fear/anxiety…but not in a good way.
Just my two cents.
