Would you let your daughter marry a younger guy? What if they both matched well and parents on either side were fine with it. would thoughts of society still bother you? Would you have insecurities about such a match. I know there are stereotypes about younger guys but what if this guy was different. Think beyond what the media and movies has reinforced into us that it can only ever be an older man younger woman match. If you say no I want to ask why would you deny your children such happiness in halal way? Im not talking 20 yrs older just 5-10.
There are reasons why some may say its a good idea. Apart from the fact women live longer then men and reach their peak later in life etc while men decline faster. If the woman does not or cannot have children some younger guys may have similar beliefs. They are also generally more open minded, more malleable, more open to collaborative decision making etc community mindset needs to change. Im not saying actively look for it but if it happens why stop it?

I have a male cousin whose wife is 5 years older than him. It did bother my Uncle and Aunt; they did not have a say in it as it was a love marriage.
After 15 years of marriage she looks considerably older than him, and he looks much younger than his 47 years, very fit and very smart, and his face has aged just a tad bit (gone on his Dad).
OTHO, my own BILs wife is older than him by a few years. She looks considerably older than him, he having adapted a healthier lifestyle, no grey and face looks relatively young. They were apparently out somewhere where someone made the comment to BIL , 'Oh, I see you brought your Mother'.. I can be nasty if I want, but she does look way older than BIL. and is trying very hard to take care of herself now.
Plus as I always say that in comparison, women lose their sexual appetite and ability to reproduce at much earlier age than men. Marry a woman five years older than you, and at age fifty you still need physical pleasure while she has already moved on to the darker sides.
